A government committee has recommended it is OK for commercial drone operators to fly said drones over people, or populated areas (read source here).
This would be the second (or third) step toward drones flying all over your neighborhood to do the variety of things people think drones will do.
I’m still skeptical on the whole drone delivery thing.

Well, with this step, the use of commercial drones will definitely experience a bump in its usage. Amazon is already working on adding Drones in the delivery team, whereas a Chinese firm has already made a testing with one such drone. So, the use of drones can’t be neglected in every field. They are overwhelming the era of technology with their impressive presence. As compared to today, the future of drone is really going to be awesome.
